Jewish Leaders Take Aim at Failed ADL

John Podhoretz savages Jonathan Greenblatt; David Harris stealthily indicts him

Last week, John Podhoretz, editor of Commentary magazine, American Jewry’s cultural and political monthly, and David Harris, head of the American Jewish Committee, took aim at ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt for failing to deal with anti-Semitism stemming from the left and from Islamist sources.

Podhoretz was angry: he called Greenblatt “chickensh*t” and “loathsome.” Harris, one of American Jewry’s most eloquent writers, aimed his criticism (at 28:00 in the video) in a more veiled manner:

“Some other Jewish organizations [like the ADL?] refuse to recognize the need for ‘swivel-headedness’ and, instead, [have] focused on only one source of anti-Semitism [namely from neo-Nazis]. …We also have to deal with the far-left… And we have to deal with this very peculiar alliance… between the jihadist elements and the far-left.”

Increasingly, Jews understand that Greenblatt’s ADL focusses almost exclusively on right-wing anti-Semitism (an easy no-brainer) while he ignores the more challenging and more dangerous Jew-hatred from politically incorrect, leftist, and Islamist sources. He is a danger and a disgrace and should resign or be fired.
